Arizona State University - Combustion Processes Laboratory
http://www.eas.asu.edu:80/~rpeck/
"The combustion research group at Arizona State University is located in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. The Combustion Laboratories support a variety of research projects aimed at generating the fundamental knowledge needed to improve combustion systems. More specific research topics may be found under separate listings for the Combustion Processes Laboratory and the Combustion Dynamics Laboratory. Facilities include over 2000 square feet of laboratory space in the engineering center that is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation/diagnostics and data acquisition/computer systems. Students gain laboratory experience in addition to completing relevant course work in combustion, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and physical chemistry. This background prepares graduates to pursue engineering career options in combustion/thermal systems technologies."
Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre
http://ns.ieej.or.jp/aperc/
"The primary objective of APERC is to foster member economies' understanding of future energy supply and demand trends and associated energy policy implications, which will in turn improve the quality of available energy information and, therefore, the efficiency of the operation of regional energy markets. In addition the Centre will contribute to stronger energy research capabilities in the region and will establish a network among energy researchers and specialists in the APEC zone. APERC also wishes to establish and maintain relationships with other regional and international energy research organisations."
Asian Energy Institute
http://www.teriin.org/aei/
"The Tata Energy Research Institute, supported by the Government of India, responded by taking the initiative to launch the Asian Energy Institute in New Delhi in August 1989. A network of 11 energy institutes from Asia at its inception, the AEI has since grown to include representatives from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Not limiting its reach within the boundaries of Asia, the institute has expanded to include Associate Members from Austria, Brazil, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the US. At the institute's launch TERI was chosen to host the Secretariat of the AEI, a position it continues to hold."
Brunel University - Institute of Power Systems
